Archangel was created in 1999 by Jake Then and Ben Rosebrough. They have enjoyed local success in their hometown of Batesville, Indiana, building a small, but loyal fan base. They are widely known for their unique and vicious live performances.
Ben Rosebrough (Guitar, Vocals) is one of the founding members. He is the most theatircal of the group. His major performing influence is Alice Cooper, and he also is influenced by Metallica, Marilyn Manson, and Megadeth. He uses Gibson and B.C. Rich guitars and Crate amplification.
Jake Then (Drums, Vocals) is the other founding member. He is influenced by more classic metal, such as Megadeth, Iced Earth, Judas Priest, and Manowar. He does a share of the vocals live. He uses Pearl drums and hardware, Sabian cymbals, and Vater drumsticks.
Josh Enneking (Bass, Back-Up Vocals) is the newest member of the group. He rounds out Archangel's crushing sound. He is fairly new to the realm of metal, and still adapting to the performance sytle of Archangel. He joined Archangel two rehearsals before his first concert, and didn't miss a beat on stage. Josh plays Yamaha basses, with Crate Amplification.
The band is not afraid of anything. They will not adapt their style for anyone. An Archangel show is a spectacle of destruction, and leaves all who witness it deaf, dumb, and happy. They are not a run of the mill, radio-friendly ass-sucking Creed clone. They are metal, heavy metal.
